Bhubaneswar: Another cub of Tigress Rupa named Bibek died in Nandankanan Zoological Park on Thursday.
According to reports, Bibek was separated from her mother since birth and was kept under observation by the authorities of the Nandankanan Zoo.
The exact reason behind the death of the cub is yet to be ascertained. The carcass has been sent for autopsy which will ascertain the reason behind the cub’s death.
On March 11, three cubs were born to Tigress Rupa at Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar. Of which one male white cub died on March 21.
The number of tigers at the Nandankanan zoo has dropped to 26 following the death of the cub.
