Bhubaneswar: The city-based regional Meteorological department on Monday issued thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and intense rainfall for 18 districts of the state.
“Latest Doppler weather radar and satellite imageries indicate that moderate thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and intense rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Kendrapara, Khurda, Nuapara, Balangir, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Sambalpur, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati and Ganjam till 7.45 PM,” said a press release issues by the weatherman.
The Regional MeT office also predicted heavy rainfall between August 13 and 15 in most parts of the state due to low pressure over northwest Bay of Bengal.
