Bhubaneswar: The city-based Regional Meteorological Centre today issues thunderstorm and lightning alerts for five district of the state.
According to reports, Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Sundergarh and Mayurbhanj are the five districts for with the weatherman issued the thunderstorm and lightning alert.
The thunderstorm and lightning warning has been issued till 7 pm today.
As per the earlier forecast of the Regional Meteorological Centre, several districts like Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Baripada, Nayagarh and Kandhamal are expected to receive heavy rainfall on March 14 and 15 under the influence of a cyclonic circulation system which is said to be developing over Bay of Bengal.
