Thunderstorm, lightning alert for 18 districts

Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has forecast thunderstorm with lightning in 18 districts of the state on Monday.

The weatherman predicted thunderstorm with lightning between 1 and 4 PM in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Rayagada, Angul, Nayagarh, Khordha, Cuttack, Puri, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Nuwapada and Dhenkanal districts.

People of these districts have been advised to take shelter in nearby buildings or other safe locations during the occurrence of the thunderstorm accompanied by lightning.
