Sundargarh: Superintendent of Police (SP) Saumya Mishra today suspended three policemen of Dharuadihi police station in connection with a custodial death at the police station.
The SP today suspended ASI Binod Chandra Patel and two constables Baikuntha Nayak and Jayram Madhel.
On July 20 a man accused of buying a minor girl had died in police custody at the police station. The deceased identified as Sunil Lodhi, a resident of Madhya Pradesh was arrested for allegedly buying a tribal minor girl of Sundargarh district.
However, his body was found in the police station cell under mysterious circumstance just before his production at the court.
