Keonjhar: In a tragic incident three youths were mowed down by a passenger bus near Champua in the district this evening.
The deceased have been identified as Akash Mahakud, Sunil Naik and Dulu Naik.
As per reports the deceased were travelling on a motorcycle and were on their way to get opera tickets. However, the motorcycle had a head-on collision with a passenger bus named Bulbul coming from the opposite direction.
Police said that while Sunil and Akash died on the spot, the third victim died at District Headquarters Hospital while undergoing treatment.
Eyewitnesses said that the driver of the passenger bus also lost control over the wheels and the bus skidded off the road.
