Balasore: In a terrifying incident, a minor boy’s hands got fractured and head severely injured as a tractor tyre exploded while filling the air in Odisha’s Balasore district.
According to reports, an employee of a petrol filling station at Mangarh in the Nilagiri area of Balasore district started filling the air in the wheels of a tractor. However, the tyre exploded due to more pressure leaving the minor boy, who was present on the spot, severely injured.
The eyewitness said that the minor boy was blown away at least 10-12 feet high following the mishap. In the process, both of his hands got fractured and his head was severely injured.
Initially, he was admitted at Nilagiri Hospital for treatment. Later, he was shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital as his condition deteriorated further.
The locals said that the injured minor boy is a resident of Jharkhand and is working at a brickyard in Panchalingeswar area. They alleged that like him several minor children are working at the brickyards and demanded that the local administration should take action against the owner of the brickyards and rescue the minor children.
