Koraput, Apr 06: Tension ran high on the premises of the District Headquarters Hospital after a patient undergoing treatment at the hospital died due to alleged medical negligence here on Thursday.
According to reports, one Sabitri of Kolab area was undergoing treatment in the ICU of the hospital and died on Thursday evening.
Following Sabitri’s death, her kin allegedly ransacked the government-run hospital along with some locals attributing the death due to medical negligence.
On being informed, police reached the spot and took control of the situation.
