Bhubaneswar: The cold wave intensified across Odisha with Sonepur recording the lowest temperature at 11.8°C, the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar informed on Saturday.
As many as 5 places in the state recorded minimum temperature below 15 degree Celsius on the day.
Meteorological Centre officials said, 11.8 degree Celsius recorded in Sonepur, Angul recorded 12.6 degree Celsius, Daringbadi 14.0 degree Celsius, Jharsuguda 14.1 degree Celsius and Keonjhar 15.0 degree Celsius.
Similarly Cuttack and Bhubaneswar also recorded slight fall in temperature with 19.0 degree Celsius and 20.6 degree Celsius respectively.
Fog is likely to occur in Bhawanipatna, Phulbani, Daringbadi and Sonepur, informs IMD Duty officer Sudhakar Mallik.
