Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik felicitated as many as 100 teachers, including 25 women, from different schools of Odisha for their splendid contribution to the field of education on the occasion of Teachers’ Day here on Tuesday.
Patnaik handed over the State Awards to the teachers for their dedication in teaching the students at a function organized by the School and Mass Education Department at Jayadev Bhawan here.
The State Award includes a bouquet, a cheque of Rs 25,000 and a citation of appreciation.
The Chief Minister had earlier in the day wished the teachers in a Twitter post. Besides, he had offered floral tributes to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of the country, on his birth anniversary.
