Balasore: A teacher of Pandua UGME School under Oupada police limits in the district was today suspended for dragging a Class-VI girl student by her neck with a dupatta.
The teacher identified as Sudam Charan Sethy was today suspended by the Block Education Officer after the father of the girl lodged a formal police complaint.
As per reports, the incident took place on October 30. The father of the girl alleged that Sethy hurled abuse at her daughter and even tried to kill her by dragging her neck with a dupatta.
“He often used to abuse students without any provocation. I decided to lodge a complaint to ensure the safety of other children,” said the father of the girl.
