Baripada: Tension prevailed at Badabrahmanamara Upper Primary School under Baripada Sadar police limits in Mayurbhanj district after an assistant teacher allegedly molested a schoolgirl.
The villagers detained the teacher Prashant Bhujabala and also ransacked his car. Villagers alleged that Bhujabala molested the class VI student while she was alone in the classroom on Wednesday.
“She was upset over the incident but did not tell anything. She narrated the entire incident today after we consoled her. Stringent action should be taken against the teacher,” demanded the mother of the girl student.
Adequate police personnel has been deployed at the village to prevent any untoward incident.
