Jajpur: In a shameful incident, a headmaster in-charge of a High school in Dharamshala area of the district was arrested by the police on Sunday for allegedly sexually harassing one of his female colleagues on the pretext of marriage.
The arrested teacher has been identified as Binod Bihari Sethi.
According to reports, Sethi had a physical relationship with a lady teacher of the same school with the promise to marry her. However, later he denied to accept her, following which the lady teacher lodged a complaint with the Dharmasala police on Saturday.
In her complaint, she alleged that the accused had been in a relationship with her for the last two years but has now denied to marry her.
Police, meanwhile, has filed a case under section 341, 323, 325, 506 and 493 of IPC against Sethi and sent him and the lady teacher for a medical examination.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
