Railway passengers will be able to avail Tatkal ticket facility for their journey from June 30. Tatkal tickets will be booked for AC class from 10 am and Sleeper class from 11 am. As of 12 August, all general train services have been closed. On Thursday, an order was given by the Indian Railways. The order said that all general passenger service trains, including mail and express trains, are being closed till August 12. It is clear from the new order that till August 12, now only special trains can be run.

How to book the Tatkal tickets

  1. If you want to book Tatkal tickets for second class or sleeper, then its time is at 11 am while the booking time for AC tickets is 10 am. However, no information has been received from the Railways so far about the change in these rules. That is why we are telling you about the rules already in operation.
  2. One more thing to be noted on the booking of Tatkal tickets is that you have to keep your ID proof with you during the journey. If many passengers are together, then the ID of one of them will be enough. Passport, Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, ID card of central or state government employee, bank passbook, school or college ID will be valid during train journey.
  3. If you cancel a confirmed Tatkal ticket then no refund is available. The entire amount is deducted from the railways. However, in the event of the train being canceled or diverted, do not pass through the station from where you want to board, then you will get full money back on canceling.
