Berhampur: In today’s development in the ongoing Berhampur marital discord case of Tapaswini Dash and Sumit Sahu, the Ganjam district administration has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in Brahma Nagar of Berhampur.
Tapaswini has been protesting in Brahma Nagar for her rights to be accepted as the legal wife of Sumit.
Reportedly, the prohibitory orders have been imposed from Brahma Nagar main road to Gurudev Hospital and Bramha Nagar 1st Lane. A huge number of police forces have been deployed around Sumit’s residence.
It is to be noted that earlier on Monday evening, some local women, who are assumed to be the supporters of Tapaswini Dash, barged into Sumit’s house by breaking open the main gate this evening.
The group of women reached the site where Tapaswini Dash has been staging dharna in front of Sumit’s home in Bramha Nagar area. Following this, they broke open the entrance gate of the house and helped Tapaswini to enter the veranda. However, they could only enter the veranda.
The incident took place after Berhampur SDJM again asked Sumit to take a rented accommodation and stay with Tapaswini.
