Talcher: Taking the land caving in incident inside a house here with a serious note, the Union Coal Minister Piyush Goyal ordered for a high-level inquiry into the incident last night.
The step on the part of Goyal followed a letter written to him attracting his attention to the incident and seeking the needful to short out the matter, earlier in the day.
Taking to his Twitter handle Goyal informed that he had ordered a fact finding enquiry into the incident by a team of experts.
Shri @dpradhanbjp conveyed his concerns about reports of sudden caving in of land in Talcher, Odisha affecting some residential houses.
Ordered a fact finding enquiry by team of experts from DGMS, CMPDIL & MCL on the incident urgently. Interests of local community paramount.

Pradhan also met Goyal today and had a discussion on the all possible preventive measures which could be take in Talcher to avert such incidents in future.
Notably, a larger crater was formed on the floor of a house on December 5 night after under Town Police Station area in Talcher leaving people in panic. Later, locals staged a road blockade on NH-53 demanding compensation to the affected family. They claimed that, MCL authorities had not filled the Champapasi underground coal mines with sand for which the crater developed.
