Swine Flu toll rises to 13 in Odisha

swine-fluBhubaneswar: Despite the various measures taken by the Government of Odisha to check the spread of swine flu in the state, the death toll due to the vector borne disease is rising by the day

Two more persons succumbed to the disease caused by the H1N1 virus on Friday, taking the death toll to 13 in the state this year.

Importantly, as many as 20 fresh cases tested positive for the deadly virus out of the 52 swabs sent to RMRC. With this, the total number of Swine Flu positive cases in the state has risen to 204 in the state. Among the infected persons, 10 are from Khurda district, 2 each from Cuttack and Jajpur and one each from Boudh, Bargarh, Balangir, Nayagarh, Sundergarh and Koraput districts.

Theses H1N1 infected persons are currently admitted at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack (3), SUM Hospital (4), two each at Apollo Hospital, KIIMS, Kalinga Hospital, Kar Clinic and one each at CARE Hospital, Capital Hospital, Neelachal, AMRI in Bhubaneswar and one at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.
