Dhenkanal: A contractual sweeper posted at the Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital has been disengaged from service after she was found administering injection to a patient on Wednesday.
The matter has come to light after a video of the incident went viral on social media. The video purportedly showed the sanitation worker administering injection to a woman patient admitted for treatment at the hospital.
The Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO), Niranjan Mishra has also sent the on-duty staff nurse on leave besides serving a show-cause notice in this regard. “ We have also directed the staffs of the hospital to remain careful so that such incidents are nor repeated in future,” hospital authorities said.
