Bhubaneswar: In a one-of-its-kind initiative, the Swapna Pati Foundation observed ‘Herbal Holi’ at a special function here on Wednesday.
The programme saw in attendance the crème-de-la-crème of the Ollywood industry including Sabyasachi Mishra, Babusan and ‘Sriman Surdas’ actress Bhumika Das.
Dr. Iti Samanta, the chairperson of Kadambini Media and editor of monthly magazine Kadambini and the children magazine Kunikatha was the guest of honour at the event.
In the programme, a tribute was paid to the martyred jawans of the Indian army. The families of the jawans were also accorded respect at the event. Alike every year, specially challenged children took part in the ‘Herbal Holi’ celebrations.
The cine stars spoke on the need to create awareness regarding the ill-effects of chemical colours and encourage the use of natural colours to ensure a happy and a safe Holi for everyone.
