Puri: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik joined his countrymen in celebrating the 71st Independence Day by sculpting a beautiful sand art for the occasion on Puri beach on Tuesday.
Pattnaik, along with his students, used around 5 tonnes of sand to create the sand art which showed the importance of armed personnel, farmers and scientific temper in the country.
“I wish the nation on the occasion of the 71st Independence Day. We used around five tons of sand to create the sand art with a theme Jai Jawan Jai Kisan Jai Vigyan. We wish the prosperity of the nation,” said Pattnaik.
A huge crowd gathered on the beach to have a glimpse of the special sand sculpture.
