Rourkela: As many as seven students of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NIT-R) Odisha have tested positive for COVID-19. Earlier, three Covid cases had been detected in the institute this month.
The Covid positives have been kept under isolation and the contact tracing is underway.
The students have been asked to vacate the hostel after all the students go through the RTPCR test. Around 200 to 250 samples of students have been collected for the test today, said sources.
In the meeting of NIT Rourkela’s Senate, the authorities have decided to conduct their 2020-21 autumn and spring semester examinations through online mode. The schedule of the examination will be announced in advance.
