Jajpur: As many as nine students of Kasturba Government Girls’ High School in Dasarathpur of Jajpur district have tested positive for Covid-19.
All the Covid positive students are reportedly reading in class 6th and class 9th in the Government Girls’ High School. A total of 145 students went through the RT-PCR test.
As the school is under District Social Welfare Department, the samples of all the teachers and staff have also been given for the RT-PCR test.
Jajpur Additional District Collector Akshay Kumar Mallick. informed that all the nine Covid positive students are being treated by the health department and undergoing treatment.
“All the other students have been advised to maintain social distancing and usage of the mask has been made mandatory,” said Additional District Collector.
The contact tracing of all the Covid positive students is underway. The college authorities have initiated the sanitization procedure to curb the further spread of the Covid infection.
