Strict Action Will Be Taken Against Those Who Violate Night Curfew Rules: Twin City Police Commissioner

Bhubaneswar: Twin City Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi on Saturday informed that stringent action will be taken against those who will violate the night curfew rules in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

Speaking to the media persons this evening, Priyadarshi said that Section 144 will be clamped in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar from 9 pm onwards and the night curfew rules will be strictly followed in the Twin Cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

Emergency services will be exempted from the restrictions. However, those who violate the rules will face stern action.

As many as 25 check-points will be set up across the State capital City and a total of 60 officers along with 10 platoons of police force will be deployed for enforcement of the night curfew restriction.

It is to be noted here that night curfew will be enforced from 9 PM to 5 AM in urban areas of 20 districts of Odisha.

However, the night curfew rules will be followed from 6 PM to 5 AM in urban areas of other 10 districts Sundergarh, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput,  Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Balangir, and Malkangiri.
