BMC said that if the cattle are found moving on the streets strict disciplinary action will be taken against them.

Additional Municipal Commissioner, convened a meeting on cattle welfare program in the city.

He clearly said that if a cattle is found roaming on the streets it will be immediately taken to a transit shed.

The owner will have to pay a fine of Rs. 5,000 for its release. This will allowed only once.

The second time if the act is repeated,  the cattle will be handed over to a Self Help Group (SHG) of a neighboring district for diary farming.

This step has been taken to prevent the traffic chaos and accidents that take place due to loitering cattle.
