Stray dog goes on rampage in Rourkela, bites over 30 persons

Rourkela: Locals have been left in a state of panic in the Steel City Rourkela since yesterday following serial incidents of stray dog bites which have left 30 persons injured so far.

As per the report, the dog in the news went on a rampage near Rourkela daily market last evening and bit a number of people who had gathered there for shopping.

After unleashing a fear of rabies infection on the streets the dog later sneaked into the nearby colonies and attacked kids playing there and vanished away.

The injured persons were rushed to Ispat General Hospital (IGH) post the incident.

Adding to the atmosphere of fear existing in the area, five more incidents of dog bites have also been reported from the city, details on which are awaited.
