Strange, Tomatoes Grow On Potato Plants In Jagatsinghpur District of Odisha
Jagatsinghpur: In a surprising phenomenon, tomatoes were seen growing on potato plants in Bagadia village near Paradip city in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha.
According to reports, the strange potato plant had been planted by Shankar Swain of the same village under Kujang block.
Shankar’s son had bought five kilo of potatoes from Kujang market. Some of the potatoes were sprouted.
Shankar took the sprouted potato and planted it in his backyard. A few days later, in two of the plants flowers and fruit bloomed. But surprisingly it was a bunch of tomatoes rather than potatoes.
When the roots of the plant was dug, a bunch of potatoes was spotted. whereas the fruits in the branches of the tree were similar to tomatoes. Crowds of people from nearby villages rushed to witness the astonishing phenomena.

That’s potato plant fruit nothing unusual. That fruit is toxic to eat. Potato is the Tuber where as the Tomato like fruits are the actual fruits of potato plants that are toxic if eaten.
