Stone for 2nd bridge over Brahmani to be laid by June end, Gadkari informs CM

Gadkari’s reply to CM on 2nd bridge over BrahmaniBhubaneswar: Replying to the letter of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the issue of the construction of the second bridge over Brahmani river, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadakari has assured him that the foundation stone for the project will be laid by June-end this year.

Gadkari, in his letter to Patnaik, said that Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram, along with Rourkela MLA Dilip Ray, had met him and apprised him of the issue earlier.

The Road Transport and Highways Minister also said that he had directed Ministry officials to make the road over the bridge six-lane and construct a four-lane road till Biramitrapur.

He also informed that he had kept a vigil on the project and the construction work will be divided into two phases as per the importance of the project.

After Ray’s demand and resentment over the issue, Patnaik, in his letter dated May 25, 2017, had urged Gakdkari to intervene in the matter.

Meanwhile, the Rourkela MLA thanked Gadkari for his reply to Patnaik’s letter.
