Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch today arrested three brown sugar peddlers and seized brown sugar weighing 130 grams from their possession.
The accused have been identified as SK Azbahar (36) of Jaleswar in Balasore district, SK Azad (43) alias Nalu, who is a native of Nedinapur in West Bengal and currently staying in Muslim Sahi in Jharpada area here, and Ramakant Sahoo (27) alias Tulu of Birapratappur in Puri district.
Police have also seized a pistol and two live bullets from their possession. “The accused used to supply narcotics to the vendors in and around Khordha besides selling the contraband directly to the customers. We will also pray the court to bring them under remand to identify the suppliers,” said STF SP Rahul P.R.
