State level mango exhibition to begin from June 1 in bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: State level mango festival will be held between June 1 and June 5 at the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) campus near CRPF Square in the state capital.

Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS) jointly with Odisha Livelihoods Mission (OLM) under the Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department will organize the festival cum sale.

A preparatory meeting for the exhibition was today held at the ORMAS conference hall with the district level officials, representatives of Producers’ Companies and Groups of eight major mango producing districts of Odisha namely, Angul, Rayagada, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Koraput, Dhenkanal and Gajapati.

Officials said that different stalls will be set up to display varieties of locally produced mangoes such as Amrapali, Daseri, Mallika, Lengada, Baiganpali, Himasagar, Totapuri and Sundari.
