State Govt gears up for development of Odia films, forms Ministerial-level committee

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has stepped up for the development of Odia film industry with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik setting up a Ministerial-level committee today.

Patnaik formed the committee under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Sashibhusan Behera.

Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Prafulla Samal and Industries Minister Anant Das have are the members of the committee while Principal Secretary of the Industries Department is selected as its convener.

The CM has directed the committee to submit its report within one month.

The state government’s decision to form the Ministerial-level committee was taken at a high-level meeting held at the State Secretariat today.

During the meeting, Naveen discussed several issues pertaining to Ollywood industry and the iconic Kalinga Studio.

Odisha Film Development Corporation (OFDC) Chairman Kuna Tripathy, Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan and other senior officials of the line departments attended the meeting.
