Staff Nurses stage Protest in Nabarangpur, Healthcare affected

Nabarangpur: Healthcare in all government hospitals in Nabarangpur district of Odisha including the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) got severely affected as all the 130 Staff Nurses recruited under National Health Mission (NHM) began cease work protest from yesterday to press various demands.

The Staff Nurses have staged demonstration to press their demand of regularisation of jobs, upgradation of pay structure and equal pay for equal work with their counterparts working at the state government establishments etc.

Currently, they are getting lump sum Rs 10,000 per month while a regular pay scale employee of their stature gets around Rs 35,000 per month across the state.
