Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrated at Bhubaneswar’s Iskcon Temple amid Covid protocol

Bhubaneswar: The holy occasion of Sri Krishna Janmanshtami is being celebrated at Iskcon temple in Bhubaneswar abiding the Covid appropriate behaviour for which special arrangements have been made by the temple administration.

Reportedly, the rituals began at 4.15 am today followed by Mangala alati at 4.30 and Darshan alati along with Gurupuja at 7 am.

The doors of the temple will be closed at 11.30 am and the alati of Sri Krishna will be done again in the evening. The rituals of Sri Janmashtami festival will be performed at the midnight.

The Covid guidelines have been made stricter for the entry of devotees into the temple in order to curb the coronavirus infection.

Meanwhile, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has wished the citizens of the state on his official Twitter account and wrote “Heartiest wishes and best wishes to all on the occasion of Holy Janmastami. May the life of all be filled with happiness and prosperity from the great mercy of Lord Krishna.#Janmashtami.”

Similasrly, the famous sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik has also wished everybody with a beautiful sand art at Puri sea beach along with prayer to save people from the deadly coronavirus.
