Southwest monsoon withdraws completely from 8 districts of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The southwest monsoon has withdrawn from as many as eight districts of Odisha and some other parts of the State on Monday, informed the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre, Bhubaneswar.

“The Southwest Monsoon has withdrawn from Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh,
Subarnapur, Balangir and Nuapada districts and some parts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Boudh,
Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur and Koraput districts of Interior Odisha on today the 26 October,
2020,” the latest bulletin said.

“Conditions are becoming favourable for further withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from
rest parts of Odisha during next 48 hours and also from entire country around 28th October, 2020,” it added.

Meanwhile, light rainfall has occurred at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar , Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada in the state in the last 24 hours.
