Southwest Monsoon likely to arrive in India earlier than expected, check details
Bhubaneswar: The Southwest Monsoon rain is likely to arrive in India earlier than it was expected, predicted the Bhubaneswar-based regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
“The Southwest Monsoon likely to advance into South Andaman Sea & adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal around 15th May, 2022,” said the IMD-Bhubaneswar on its Twitter handle.

Normally, the Southwest Monsoon arrives in Kerala on June 1. However, this year it is expected to arrive one week earlier.
The weatherman has not given any particular date on which the Monsoon rain may advance to Odisha.
