Bhubaneswar: Two bike-borne chain snatchers snatched a gold chain from a woman’s neck and fled away in Bharatpur area under Khandagiri Police limits of Bhubaneswar city of Odisha on Sunday morning.
The victim whose chain was snatched has been identified as Anusaya Behera.
Interestingly, a CCTV camera installed in the area has captured the video of the loot.
The CCTV footage shows that two miscreants approached Anusaya while she was plucking flowers in the morning. While one was riding the bike, another threatened her with a sharp weapon and fled after snatching her gold chain.
Even as neighbours came to her help, the two miscreants managed to escape on their bike. The incident has spread fear in the area.
Meanwhile, police have launched an operation to nab the two miscreants based on the video footage captured in the CCTV camera.
