Sixth Nalini Kanta Mohanty Memorial State Open Badminton Tournament To Begin From Nov 28

Bhubaneswar: The sixth Nalini Kanta Mohanty Memorial State Open Badminton Tournament will be held between November 28 and December 1 at the East Coast Railway Indoor Stadium in the state capital.

The championship is being organised by the Amateur Badminton Club and is also being recognised by the Odisha State Badminton Association.

Organisers said that the tournament will be played under 13 categories including Under 13, 15, 17 & 19 years boys & girls, seniors and veteran age groups.

“The entry fee for singles event is Rs 500 while the entry fee for doubles event is Rs 1000. Players registered with the Odisha State Badminton Association can only participate in the tournament. The total prize money for the ranking tournament is Rs 3.5 lakh,” said a member of the organising committee.
