Sixth Annual Convocation of the National Law University, Odisha Held
Cuttack: The sixth Annual Convocation of the National Law University, Odisha (NLU Odisha) was today held at the Amphitheatre.
Justice A.M. Khanwilkar, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Visitor NLU Odisha presided over the occasion and delivered the presidential address.
Justice Kalpesh Satyendar Jhaveri, Chief Justice of Orissa High Court and Chancellor, NLU Odisha awarded the degrees, gold medals and addressed the graduating students.
A total of 152 graduating students received their degrees on this occasion. Those included 2 PhD candidates, 41 LLM candidates, and 109 from undergraduate courses – 50 and 59 candidates respectively from the BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) streams. A total number of 20 gold medals were also awarded to students in the convocation.
Senior IPS officer and former Police Commissioner, Satyajit Mohanty also received his PhD degree in Law during the convocation.
