Sisira Sarasa national level fair begins in Bhubaneswar: Watch

Bhubaneswar: The Sisira Sarasa national level fair commenced on Tuesday here in Odisha. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Mela through video conferencing.  The fair will run till January 6, 2022.

Sisira Sarasa fair is going on at the Unit 3 IDCO Exhibition ground where as many as 300 kiosks are open. The timing of the fair is from 11 am to 9 pm. Some Covid restrictions have been imposed in the fair which includes wearing of mask, social distancing etc.

Artisans from the 30 districts of Odisha as well as 20 other states and Union territories are exhibiting and selling different types of product in the fair. More than 400 Self Help Groups have taken part in the fair including more than 500 sellers.

In the fair, a food court is running where traditional Odia foods are available in 10 stalls. The foods include famous Dahibara Aludam of Cuttack, Mudhi-Mangsa and many other dishes. Visitors can also have Koraput coffee in the fair.

Artisans and SHGs are displaying an array of handicrafts and other rural products in the fair.

The fair is a platform for rural artisans, painters, weavers, sculptors and craftsmen from across India.
