Bhubaneswar: With the alarming spurt in the number of coronavirus positive cases in the state of Odisha, the administration had declared a shut down in a number of major cities in the State.
The Chief Secretary thanked the police force and people for being cooperative and making the shut down a success.
The shutdown in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Bhadrak will end at 8pm today he added but, he requested people not 2 crowd grocery shops/markets.
The shut down was done as a precautionary measure to help in the containment of the dangerous pandemic. But it is to be noted that the Chief Secretary said that if there are violations after the shut down is lifted, strict enforcement of rules will be done.
Asit Tripathy puts to rest the apprehensions of community transmission in Bhubaneswar. He added that in the next 7-10 days Government will focus on hot spot containment strategy.
The administration has requested people to be patient, stay indoors and to stay safe.
