Shramik Special Train from Gujarat reaches Odisha’s Angul

Angul: A Shramik Special Train from Gujarat arrived at Angul Road railway station here in Odisha on Monday morning.

A total of 1650 stranded passengers, hailing from 24 different districts in the state, came on this train, officials said.

Out of the total 1650 passengers, as many as 634 migrants belong to Angul district, officials added.

All the passengers were registered and medically screened at the station.  They have also been stamped with indelible ink on their hands.

As many as 30 buses were arranged to ferry the migrants to other districts and 20 buses to various blocks of Angul district.

The migrants will be staying in quarantine centres in their respective areas for 7 days as per new guidelines of the state government.
