Shopkeeper held for black marketing railway tickets in Balasore

Soro: Unearthing a railway ticket black-marketing racket, a Crime Branch team from West Bengal’s Kharagpur arrested a ticketing shop owner from Khaira market under Soro police limits in Balasore on Friday.

The accused has been identified as Rajesh Barik, a resident of the same area.

As per the report, Rajesh who was running a ticketing shop namely Barik Communication at his home and booking tickets for train and flight came under the scanner of West Bengal Police a few months back for his indulgence in black marketing.

A team of Crime Branch officials from Kharagpur conducted a raid at Rajesh’s shop last night with the help of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and arrested him.

A number of Tatkal tickets of IRCTC, computer, printer and bank passbooks were also seized from the possession of the accused during the raid.

Police are interrogating the held shop owner in connection with the black marketing allegation.
