Shocking! Youth kills mother in Bhubaneswar of Odisha: Watch
Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident a youth allegedly killed his own mother in the capital city of Odisha on Tuesday. Moreover, he also allegedly set the house on fire before fleeing from the spot. Taking strong action in the case, Badagada Thana Police arrested the accused.
The accused has been identified as Prashanta alias Kalia Jena. The deceased has been identified as Rashmita Jena.
As per reports, a verbal spat erupted between the two which took an ugly turn and the youth thrashed her mother to death. The incident took place in the Kalinga slum under Badagada Police limits in Bhubaneswar.
The youth reportedly was threatening his mother to give money. As the woman denied he allegedly thrashed her with an iron rod and as a result she was killed. Then, the accused set the clothes and furniture in the house on fire.
After being alerted Police rushed to the spot and seized the half burnt body of the woman. The scientific team has also reached the spot and collecting evidence.
It has been learnt that earlier in many occasions also the accused used to beat his mother and father. Police sent the body of the deceased to Capital hospital for autopsy.
