According to reports, one Chittaranjan Swain’s two-month-old baby boy died while undergoing medical treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack yesterday.

Later in the evening, Swain hired a private vehicle to return his son’s body to his native village, Surapratapur in Kamakhyanagar area in the district. Along with their deceased son, he and his wife were travelling in the said vehicle.

On the middle of their journey, the driver of the vehicle came to know that the baby was not alive. Hence he allegedly refused to drive the vehicle carrying the dead body, said Swain’s relatives.
