Keonjhar: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly murdered his sister-in-law and raped his mother-in-law over a family feud at Kiribur under Bolani police limits of Keonjhar district. The incident has horrified the locals.
The incident took place in a forest at Kiribur near the borders of Jharkhand on Sunday.
As per reports, the accused who has been identified Rup singh Sidhu followed the mother and daughter duo to the forest after finding that they had gone there to collect mushrooms.
After finding them, the accused got into an argument with them and in a rage he raped and murdered his sister-in-law after tying his mother-in-law in a rope. The woman also alleged that Rup singh also raped her and dumped the body of her daughter from a 200-foot clif.
Later, finding a chance, the mother-in-law escaped from the forest and narrated the story at the local police station.
A case has been filed against the son-in-law and a manhunt has also been launched to nab him as he went absconding after committing the crime, said the police.
