Baripada: In a shocking incident a man axed his wife to death and also attempted to kill his son and daughter over family feud at Tikarapda village under Sadar police limits in the district today.
The accused identified as Karmu Singh has been arrested by the police. The daughter of the couple said that her father had an argument with her mother over a petty issue.
“Enraged over this he hacked my mother with an axe. He also tried to strangulate me and also tried to assault my brother. However, both of us managed to escape and save our lives,’ said the daughter of the accused.
Police have lodged a murder case and have arrested the accused from the house. Police have also sent the body for postmortem.
