Kalimela: In a shocking incident a man allegedly murdered his wife by hacking her with an axe in MV-72 village under Kalimela block in Malkangiri district of Odisha.
The deceased has been identified has Dulali Mistri while the accused has been identified as Vimal Mistri of MV-72 village.
According to reports, Vimal, a habitual drinker had arguments with his wife Dulali on domestic affairs on a regular basis. He even abused his wife physically.
However, last night Dulali objected to Vimal’s drinking habits. This infuriated him and he attacked her with an axe. She received fatal injuries on the neck and succumbed to death. Vimal fled the spot after committing the crime.
On receiving information about the incident the police rushed to the spot, seized the body and sent it for an autopsy. The cops have registered a case and have launched a manhunt to grab the culprit.
