Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident a man in his 40s was caught molesting a 13-year-old girl while she was going for tuition classes in Laxmisagar area.
Though the incident took place on August 21, the matter came to light today after CCTV footage of the entire incident surfaced today.
In the footage, the man was seen following the girl in his scooty and later intercepting the girl who was on his way to a coaching centre on her bicycle early morning. The man was later seen having a conversation with the minor girl. The man also molested her following which the girl raised an alarm. By the time locals reached the spot, the man managed to escape from the spot.
Police said that the family members of the girl have lodged a complaint on the same day. “We have already started an investigation and are in touch with the transport officials to identify the owner of the vehicle,” said a police official.
