Bhubaneswar: A youth who was in the wanted list of city police for running sex trade was arrested today in Assam by Assam Crime Branch. The accused, identified as Dilip Sahoo, was wanted in connection with a case of sex racket that was operating at a guest house in Nayapalli last year.

Police in May last year had busted the sex racket operating at a guest house in Nayapalli and had rescued three women engaged in flesh trade. However Sahoo, a habitual offender had managed to evade police arrest.

Police sources said that Sahoo had fled to Assam where he was running a sex racket in the guise of a travel agency.

Assam police have also arrested another Odia youth for allegedly running sex trade.

Police said that a team is likely to move to Assam to bring Sahoo under remand for further investigation in connection with flesh trade in Bhubaneswar.
