Bhubaneswar: The extreme cold weather in Odisha seems too have thrown life out of gear in most parts. People are at their wits end as to how to handle the severe cold.
13 places in the state recorded minimum temperature below the 10 degree Celsius mark, today. People were seen wearing thick winter garments and huddling around bonfires to seek relief from the biting cold.
Lowest temperature of the day was recorded at Sonepur with the mercury reaching a low of 4.8 degree Celsius. Phulbani followed suit at a shivering 5 degree Celsius.
According to the Regional Met dept, the minimum temperature in Odisha may further dip by around three to four degree Celsius in the next 2-3 days.
A relief however came from the fact that no rains have been predicted for the next week.
