Selfie Turns Fatal, 2 Youth Drown In Odisha

Bargarh: The selfie fever has taken two more life and this time two students in Odisha has become its victim. Two students fell into Kapildhara waterfall after both of them slipped while taking a selfie with their friends in Nrusinghnath of Bargarh district.

The deceased youths have been identified as Papu Mahakur (18) and Khirod Soni (20), a native of Jhipiki Village under Paikmal police limits in Bargarh distrct.

According to reports, Khirod, Papu with their  another friend had visited Nrusinghnath in the evening hours, Khirod and Papu fell into Kapildhara waterfall while taking a selfie.

Another friend who was present with both of them informed the police.

Later, on being informed Paikmal Fire personnel, police, Nrusinghnath Forest Department officials and Temple staff reached the spot and fished out both the bodies.

In a similar incident in July 2020, a 23-year-old medical student fell to his death in a waterfall while clicking a selfie in Odisha’s Deogarh.
